Dino’s passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) began in 2016, where he embarked on a journey that not only transformed his life but also became his mission to share with others. As a dedicated practitioner, Dino delved into the intricacies of BJJ, honing his skills both on and off the mat. Dino’s journey has been marked by perseverance, discipline, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Upon achieving his blue belt, Dino discovered a new passion – teaching. Starting with kids classes, Dino found immense joy and fulfilment in passing on the art of BJJ to the next generation. Guiding them through the fundamentals, instilling discipline, and fostering a love for the sport became Dino’s mission. Witnessing their growth, both in skill and character, fuelled his determination to expand his teaching endeavours.
With the guidance and trust of Professor Matt O’Dea, Dino took the bold step of establishing his own gym in Wellsford under the Coast Academy banner. This endeavour wasn’t just about business; it was about building a community, a family united by the art of BJJ. From designing the space to curating specialised training programs, every aspect of the gym reflects his dedication to providing an environment where individuals can thrive and reach their full potential.
